Nowadays, it is not so easy to see wild animals in the forest. Therefore there are wildlife parks which offer the opportunity of seeing the charming inhabitants of the green woods closer. One of these parks is the Raptor centre and wildlife park in Hellenthal. It is located in the natural park Eifel (western Germany). The setting of this park is perfect for grown up forest lovers as well as children. You can have a very nice walk in the forest and watch wild animals run on the meadows. We recommend buying some food for the animals at the entrance gate. With the food in your hands, you can be sure to lure them close to you and feed them. If you are a fan of raptors, be sure to check the time of the bird show. It's worth seeing. While walking, you can observe deer, lamas, goats, sheep, wild cats, lynxes, ponies,... We liked the boar family and the racoons very much. In conclusion, we highly recommend visiting this place. It is very children friendly but adult animal lovers will also enjoy the visit very much. Just like we did! :-)
